what's your fave scrapbook manufacturer?

Sassafras Lass is toch wel een van mijn favoriete papierlijnen. Dus de keuze was niet zo moeilijk om met deze papierlijn aan de slag te gaan voor mijn tweede, en laatste:(:(:( , project als guest designer bij TAAFOMFT...........ik heb eindelijk een van de huisjes gedecoreerd die ik in deze post liet zien....

In deze post schreef ik dat Mees binnenkort beroemd gaat worden....nou en nu is het dus zo ver ;););)
Mees staat in de Creatief met Foto'ssssssssssssssss...wohoooooooo....ik vind het zo gaaf!!! En het leuke is dat ik samen met Jenneke in het artikel sta:):):)

Het miniboekje over Mees heb ik vorigjaar al gemaakt....voor de dierendagwedstrijd van CMF....de redactie van het scrapblad wou het boekje graag nog een tijdje in hun bezit houden voor eventueel een publicatie....maar ik had het eigenlijk niet meer verwacht, totdat ik in juni een mailtje kreeg dat het boekje in het september/oktober nummer komt te staan! Ik vind het echt SUPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mees (and I) is published in the Dutch scrapmagazine 'Creatief  met Foto's'!!!!!! Wohooooooo...I'm soooo excited about it!!!!!!! And the fun thing is that I'm in the same article with Jenneke:):):)

I made the minibook about Mees last year...for the animalday challenge of CMF...they asked me if they could keep it for a while,maybe for a publication in the future...but I didn't expected it anymore, till June...when I got an e-mail that the minibook will be published! I'm soooo HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Afgelopen vrijdag ben ik samen met mijn vriendin Manon naar de 'knotsgekke kaart en scrapdagen' geweest in Zwolle...en natuurlijk heb ik weer veel te veel gekocht...maar af en toe moet dat toch eens kunnen?! Ik heb daar oa papier van de nieuwe BasicGrey lijn 'Olivia' gekocht...eigenlijk is het een baby lijn, maar ik vind het zo schattig papier en je kan het ook best voor een ander onderwerp gebruiken.....ik wou het papier natuurlijk gelijk gebruiken, dus heb ik een kaartje gemaakt.........

Last Friday my friend Manon and I went to the 'knotsgekke kaart en scrapdagen'(a card and scrap event) in Zwolle (that's my birthplace:)....and ofcourse I have bought too much...but sometimes you have to give yourself something, right?! I also bought the new papers of BasicGrey 'Olivia'...they say it's baby paper, but I think it's so cute and you also can use it for other subjects...so when I went home I had to try out the papers and made a card........

...Ik heb deze kaart gemaakt voor de BasicGrey challenge...deze keer moet je iets van textiel op je project gebruiken...dus ik heb een bloem van lint gemaakt met een stoffenknoop erop...

...I made this card for the BasicGrey challenge....this time you have to use some fabric on your project...so I made a flower of ribbon with a fabric button on it.........

For this card I have used the labels from my new jeans:)


Vorige week dinsdag zijn mijn moeder en ik samen een dagje naar Amersfoort geweest. Lekker geshopt, taart gegeten, de leuke straatjes bekeken en 'savonds natuurlijk uiteten geweest! Het weer was minder, maar het was echt een super gezellige dag!!! Natuurlijk heb ik ook een paar foto's gemaakt en ik heb de sketch van Pagemaps gebruikt om er een lo van te maken......

Last Tuesday my mom and I visit Amersfoort...shopping, eat some yummy cake, walked through the nice little streets and ofcourse in the evening we went to a restaurant! The weather wasn't that good, but it really was a wonderfull day out!!! Ofcourse I also made some pictures to make a lo of this day out...I have used the Pagemaps sketch....

Het is al weer een tijdje geleden dat ik deze award van Maja kreeg....maar ik wil haar er alsnog voor bedanken:):):):)

what's your fave day???

...Ik probeer van elke dag te genieten en van elke dag mijn favoriete dag te maken, maar als ik moet kiezen dan ga ik voor de vrijdag...en dan vooral de vrijdagavond. Die avond werk ik meestal niet en heb ik ook nog eens helemaal voor mij alleen! Als Richard dan zijn club avond bij de kanovereniging heeft, spendeer ik mijn tijd in mijn hobbykamer!


...I try to love everyday, but if I have to choose...I go for Friday...and then especially the Friday night. Most of the time I don't have to work on Fridaynight and then I'm also home alone! When Richard is having his night at the canoe club, then I spend my time in my scraproom!

Woohoo...ik vind het zo super gaaf dat ik de augustus guestdesigner ben bij TAAFOMFT!!!! Er zitten zulke getalenteerde scrapsters in het designteam en elke keer weer de leukste fave-challenges!!!Ooh en ik ben helemaal weg van Julie's reacties...het is altijd FUN om haar challenge blog te bezoeken!!!  Helemaal geweldig dat Julie mij gevraagd heeft:D:D:D....

Ik heb van de week ook het miniboekje van Guusje afgemaakt....ook dit is weer een eenvoudig boekje geworden, maar de stapels met foto's die liggen te wachten om gescrapt te worden is wel weer wat minder hoog geworden;););)

minibook

En we zijn weer een week verder...wat vliegt de tijd toch snel voorbij! Zo zag mijn week eruit...de gewone dingen...werken, boodschappen en het huishouden doen...de leuke dingen...met vriendin gebeld en leuke afspraak met haar gemaakt, bij mijn ouders gelogeerd, gefietst met mijn moeder en nichtje, mooie motors bekeken (Richard vindt het tijd voor een andere motor, ja ik weet het, hij heeft nog al dure hobbies;), lekker gescrapt...maar het was ook de week dat mijn vader de eerste chemo kuur kreeg. Gelukkig is dit goed gegaan, hij voelt zich wel anders en moe, maar hij is gelukkig niet erg ziek geworden!

And another week passed...time flies! My week looked like this....the everyday things...working, shopping, cleaning the house, etc...the nice things...calling a friend and making a happy appointment with her, stayed with my parents, made a bike trip with my mom and niece, visit a motorbike shop (Richard thinks it's time for a new motorbike, yes I know, he's having expensive hobbies;), did some scrapping...but it was also the week of my dads first chemotherapy. He's doing well, he only feels different as normal and tired, fortunately he isn't very sick of the chemo!

Ik heb het miniboekje met foto's van onze kat Mees afgemaakt en ben al weer bezig met een nieuw miniboekje met foto's van onze andere kat Guusje....Ik heb stapels met foto's liggen, die ik eigenlijk allemaal voor lo's wou gaan gebruiken, maar het zijn er echt te veel...En met miniboekjes ruimt het weer een beetje op. En natuurlijk vind ik het ook erg leuk om zulke boekjes te maken!............

I have finished the minibook with pictures of our cat Mees and I'm working on another minibook, with pictures of our other cat Guusje...I have a box full of pictures and I want to use them all for lo's, but I have to many pictures...so with making minibooks the box will be a little bit emptier. And ofcourse I love to make those books!..............

Het is een simpel boekje geworden, maar vond het erg leuk om te maken!
Mees wordt binnenkort beroemd :D:D:D....ik mag er verder nog niks over vertellen, maar het is zo GAAF!!!! Als het zover is dan kom ik er natuurlijk op terug :D

It's just a simple minibook, but it was so much fun to make!

Ja vandaag ben ik jarig....35 jaar oud!
Vanmiddag krijgen we pas visite, dus kan ik nu nog mooi even bloggen en blogs bezoeken! Ook ben ik bezig met een mini boekje met foto's van Mees....die had ik al heel lang liggen en nu toch maar eens mee aan de slag gegaan...en als ik dan aan het scrappen ben ziet mijn tafel er zo uit.......

Yes today it's my birthday...35 years old!
This afternoon we get visit for my birthday, so now I have some time to blog and visit blogs! And I'm working on a minibook with pictures of cat Mees...and then my table looks like this....

....herkenbaar???? Ik kan helemaal niet tegen rommel om mij heen, dus altijd als ik klaar ben met een lo of boekje dan ruim ik eerst de hele boel weer op, zodat de tafel helemaal leeg is, voor ik weer opnieuw kan beginnen (met rommel maken;)

....recognizable???? I can't stand a mess around me, so everytime I have finished a scrap project I have to clean all up, before I can begin all over again (with making a mess;)

i'm back again...

Ik ben weer terug...terug om mijn blog bij te houden, jullie werk te bewonderen en zelf weer creatief bezig te zijn! Ik heb het erg gemist, maar het zijn rare en vermoeiende weken geweest...gelukkig gaat het nu de betere kant op met mijn vader en is hij aan het aansterken voor de chemo die maandag gaat beginnen. Daar is hij het eerste half jaar wel mee bezig en het zal vast niet makkelijk worden, maar hij en mijn moeder gaan er weer voor. Mijn moeder hoeft gelukkig voorlopig niet aan een nieuwe kuur te beginnen, het gaat nu aardig goed met haar en ze voelt zich sterk!

I'm back again...back for blogging, back to admire your work en back to be creative again! I really have missed it, but it were strange and tiring weeks...fortunately my dad's feeling better now and he's recuperate! Monday the first chemo therapy begins. And it will take for about 6 monhts, so that will be a hard time for him! But he and my mom are ready to fight again! Fortunately my mother doesn´t have to begin a new chemo therapy, because she is doing well now and feeling strong!

Afgelopen weekend heb ik weer voor het eerst tijd doorgebracht in mijn scrapkamer...en ja ik heb gescrapt, heerlijk! Ik kan alleen nu nog niks laten zien ;D Maar wat ik wel kan laten zien is dit kleurige gehaakte mandje...ik ben er best trots op als ik dat van mijzelf mag zeggen:).........

Last weekend it was the first time again that I have spent time in my scraproom...and I have scrapt again, that feels sooo good! I can´t show you yet ;D But what I can show you is this colorful crochet basket...and I must say that I'm a little proud about the result:).......

De binnenkant heb ik bekleed met een stofje die mijn zus en ik vroeger op de babykamer hadden. Mijn moeder had daar gordijnen van gemaakt en het wiegje en een stoeltje mee bekleed......

The inside of the basket I have coated with a cloth from our babyroom (my sister and I) My mother made curtains and coated a seat and cradle with it.......

I also have made a card using the GetSketchy #48 sketch..........

just a quick post....

Even een kort berichtje over mijn vader..... Gisteren is hij geopereerd en het is allemaal anders gegaan dan we hadden gehoopt en gedacht. De operatie heeft erg lang geduurd, omdat ze de tumor in de darm niet konden vinden. De tumor (8 cm groot) is uiteindelijk op een andere plek gevonden dan dat ze dachten dat het zou zitten, waardoor de operatie zo'n 4,5 uur heeft geduurd. Jammer genoeg is de tumor ook door de darm heen gegroeid en moeten we ervan uitgaan dat mijn vader ook chemo's krijgt. Dit is toch wel een hele terleurstelling voor ons.
Gelukkig gaat het met mijn vader redelijk goed, hij ligt op een zaal met 7 (!!!) (oude)vrouwen, gezellig! Het is de bedoeling dat hij nu eerst gaat herstellen en aansterken van de operatie en daarna word er verder gekeken hoe verder.
Ik ben vanmiddag weer naar huis gegaan en Richard en ik hebben besloten (ook omdat mijn ouders dit graag willen) dat wij toch een paar dagen met de camper weggaan. Ik hoop dat we er toch een beetje van kunnen genieten!

Sorry, just a short translation..... Yesterday it was the day of my fathers surgery and the result of it wasn't the one that we hoped for. They found a tumor (8cm) on a different place in his intestine than they thought it would be. The tumor also grew on the outside of the intestine. So he must have chemotherapy too. It's really a disappointment for us.
Fortunately my father is doing well....he's lie in a hospital-room with 7 (!!!) (old)women :)

We are go away tonight for some day's, traveling with our camper. Hope we can enjoy it.... I'll Visit your blogs next weekend again!

scrapping the music...

Gisteren heb ik weer zitten scrappen...ik heb een lo gemaakt voor de challenge van Scrapping the music...met deze week het nummer 'father and friend' van Alain Clark....prachtig nummer!
Ik heb een foto gebruikt waar ik samen met mijn vader opsta...heeeel lang geleden:).....

Yesterday I have scrapt again...and I have made a lo for the challenge of Scrapping the music...with this week the song 'father and friend' from Alain Clark...beautiful song!
On this lo I have used a photo of my dad and I...long,long ago:).....

On the lo you see also a journaling.....it's a copy of a page from my 'poesie album'...the page my father wrote for me....I still love to read it sometimes...it's a rhyme made by himself and so cute I think (sorry I can't translate it) and I love his handwriting!.......

Vandaag is het de eerste dag van de zomer....en het is vandaag ook weer mooi weer, met nog beter weer in het vooruitzicht! Heerlijk! Ik heb nu ook vakantie, drie weken en eigenlijk zouden Richard en ik al op vakantie zijn. Maar we hebben besloten dat we pas volgend weekend weggaan, eerst moet mijn vader de operatie achter de rug hebben. We gaan dan ook maar een week weg met de camper, maar dat is niet erg....de gezondheid van mijn vader is belangrijker!
We zijn van plan om eerst een paar dagen naar zuid-Limburg te gaan en daarna misschien nog naar de Eifel in Duitsland. Als het moet dan zijn we ook zo weer thuis, maar toch even lekker weg om te ontspannen.

Today it's the first day of the Summer...and it's nice weather overhere, with more nice summer day's to come this week! I love it!
I have my summer vacation now, for three weeks and Richard and I had planned our camper-vacation these two weeks...but because of my fathers operation this Thursday, we have decided to go next weekend for an one week holiday. I want to see my dad after the operation, to see that he's is alright...my fathers health is ofcourse much more important than our vacation!
We want to go for some day's to Limburg, the south part of the Netherlands and maybe for some day's to the Eifel in Germany. I'm looking forward to go away for some day's, to relax!

Bedankt voor jullie medeleven en lieve reacties op mijn berichten over mijn vader! Dit doet mij erg goed! Het gekke is dat alles toch gewoon doorgaat.....de eerste paar dagen leef je nog een beetje in een roes en moet het slechte nieuws nog landen en een plaats geven, maar daarna zie je ook weer de leuke dingen in het leven......Gelukkig hebben mijn ouders dit ook, het zijn zulke sterke en positieve mensen....gisteren zijn ze gewoon weer naar de caravan gegaan (die ze bij vrienden op het erf hebben staan)...even aan wat anders denken en genieten van de mooie omgeving! Ik vind dat zo knap van hun! Van alleen positief denken wordt je niet beter, maar ik geloof dat dit zeker wel kan helpen!

Thanks for your sympathy and sweet comments on my posts about my father! It really feels good! The strange thing is that everything continues....the first day's you live in a daze (???) and you have to place the sad news, but after that you see also the beautiful things in life again....I'm happy that my parents have that same feeling, they're such strong and positive people...Yesterday they went to their caravan again (in the yard of friends)...to think about other things and enjoy the beautiful nature! From only think positive you don't heal...but I believe that it can help! (sorry for my bad English, it's so difficult for me to make the right syntax ;)


En nu over naar wat anders.....ik heb weer gescrapt, niet gedacht dat mij dat nu zou lukken...heerlijk om weer met al die kleurige materialen bezig te zijn........

sad news....but we have faith....

Vorige week woensdag hebben we slecht nieuws gekregen...mijn vader heeft nu ook kanker, darmkanker. Het is nog steeds niet te bevatten, allebei mijn ouders die moeten vechten tegen de kanker in hun lijf! Het gaat nu allemaal in een sneltreinvaart....na het darmonderzoek van woensdag, waaruit bleek dat mijn vader een gezwel in zijn dikkedarm heeft, is hij vrijdag voor een scan naar het ziekenhuis geweest...daaruit bleek dat hij ook een klaplong had en moest hij weer voor een paar dagen in het ziekenhuis blijven. Vandaag hebben we de uitslag van de scan gekregen en gelukkig zijn er geen uitzaaiingen in longen en lever gevonden. Volgende week donderdag is de operatie en dan is het nog spannend of er wel of geen uitzaaiingen in de verwijderde lymfeklieren zitten.
Het is een onzekere en verdrietige week geweest en nog steeds, maar we hebben er veel vertrouwen in dat het goed gaat komen!


Last Wednesday we have got sad news about my father...he's having cancer too. It's very hard and unbelievable that both my parents have to fight against cancer! Everything goes fast now...after the colonoscopy, where they have found the cancer in his intestine, he had on Friday a ct-scan...where they also found a pneumothorax (?), so my father had to stay in the hospital again for some day's. Today we have got the results of the ct-scan and we're happy that his lungs and liver are 'clean'! Next week Thursday is the operation and we have to wait for the results if there are cancer cells in the lymph nodes.
It has been a uncertain and sad week and it still is, but we have faith that it will be ok with my dad!

my fave summer shoes....

When it's summer time I love to wear my flipflops and other summer shoes....so last week when we had beautiful summer weather overhere I painted my toenails pink and took my summer shoes out of the wardrobe........TAAFOMFT (summer)shoes......

I have made this project on a piece of cardboard from an old cardboard box and played with Gesso, watercolors, stamps and my sewingmachine....I had alot of fun making this one!


Some weeks ago I played along the Pagemaps challenge...and they show my card as a honorable mention:):) At the moment they have a new challenge with a great sketch...hope to find some time to play along again...another busy week...and ofcourse some nervous day's, because of my father who must go for a colonoscopy to the hospital Wednesday.

After some day's at the hospital my father is back home again and he's feeling better. We don't know yet what is wrong with him, but next Wednesday he must go back to the hospital for a colonoscopy (right word?I have translate it with an online translater) So we must be patient and hope for the best!!!

Last night I couldn't sleep....so I jumped out of my bed  and went upstairs to my scraproom and made this card using GetSketchy sketch.....

I'm a little bit nervous at the moment (ok, not a little, but very,very nervous)...I'm waiting for a phone call from my sister who's with my parents at the hospital....my father is very sick and they think about a intestinal obstruction (don't know if that's te right word for it)...and they don't know yet where and how. When my sister called me with the results of the x-ray pictures, then I decide if I go to Zwolle (to my parents and hospital) and don't go to my work. I'm so afraid that my father also having cancer like my mother! That would be really a bad,bad  nightmare!

Last weeks where some busy weeks for me and I did not have time to scrap or post on my blog or visit your blogs...I have worked alot, had to do many things at home, my sweetie want to have my attention after he came home from Austria ;)and we wnet away to Germany last weekend...but now I'm back again and tonight I'll visit your blogs to admire your scrapwork!

Yesterday evening I have made a lo for TAAFOMFT challenge....what's your fave book....
Well I don't read alot of books, but I collect books:)....I collect children books about cats....I have a big bookcase with only children books about cats, very old one's and new one's and ofcourse the books of Dikkie Dik (Dutchies will know him).....so I have made a lo about my collection.....

I also had some time last night to make a card...using the GetSketchy sketch...

Yesterday I visit SketchyThursdays and I saw that I was one of the lucky 5 to be in a change to be the guest design team member for the month June....well that was a little bit late, because the voting is closed now:( So I don't have to ask you anymore...."VOTE FOR ME, VOTE FOR ME!!!";D;D But I'm very happy that I'm one of the five who were select out of 75 entry's!!!!
