'Sinterklaas' and some xmas scrapping...

"Every year I buy something new to decorate the xmas tree and ofcourse there isn't place enough anymore for all the tree decorations... but for this old xmas house there's always place. Since my childhood I love this little house and I always gave it the best place in the tree... and I fantasized that I was very small so that I could live in that little house :):):)
Some years ago my mom gave it to me and since then the old xmas house also gets every year the best place in our tree"



And this xmas card I made with sketch #10 of Just us girls.......

I have used the xmas papers of CosmoCricket 'Jolly by Golly'... I just love those papers!!! the little star I made of Fimo clay, I did some handstitching and used a snowflake of felt

Friday and Saturday evening we celebrated the Dutch feast 'Sinterklaas'...Friday with Richard his family and yesterday with my family at my sisters place.... it where wonderful evenings with happy, happy 'children'....because they got alot of presents:).........

Yesterday evening I gave this xmas wallhanger to my mom...

title in Dutch: 'kerst (b)engeltjes'.... how do I explane it in English???... xmas rascals/angels (bengeltjes=rascals and engeltjes=angels)... I have used a picture of my sister and me with xmas at 1977..... we were sitting in front of the xmas tree in the same nightgowns and slippers ...I think it's such a cute and funny picture of us:)

Vrijdag en zaterdag avond hebben we Sinterklaas gevierd... vrijdag bij Richard zijn familie en gisteravond bij mijn zus thuis.. het waren erg gezellige avonden met erg blije 'kinderen':)........

Gisteravond heb ik mijn moeder deze kerst 'wallhanger' gegeven....

Ik heb een foto van mijn zus en ik gebruikt die gemaakt is met kerst 1977... we zitten samen voor de kerstboom met dezelfde nachtponnen en pantoffels aan... ik vind het nog steeds zo'n schattige en grappige foto.... de sneeuwster heb ik vorige week bij de Wibra gekocht, daar heb ik nog meer leuke kerstboom decoraties gekocht.... super leuk en het kost haast niks!

Now Sinterklaas is on his way back to Spain and today I heard the first xmas song on the radio... so I think next weekend I start with decorating the tree....this year I put the tree on top of the cabinet again.... you know we have cats...and cats love xmas trees and everything that moves and sparkles:):)

Sinterklaas is weer terug naar Spanje en vandaag hoorde ik op de radio de eerste kerst-song... dus ik krijg al weer zin om de kerstspullen te voorschijn te halen, nog maar even een weekje wachten...en dan ga ik de kerstboom weer optuigen... ook dit jaar weer komt 'ie' boven op de kast te liggen... je weet wij hebben katten... en katten houden van kerstkomen en van alles wat beweegt en glinstert:):).... dus ik leg de boom weer veilig op de kast:)

Last night I made this lo, it's for the challenge of Scrapping out Loud (scrap a family pic).... the whole evening I hung out on the couch watching tv....but when it was almost midnight I moved upstairs and not to my bed, but to my scraproom... so it was very late (or early in the morning;) when I jumped into my bed.... and ofcourse I can feel that now... to late out bed, headache and just don't want to do anything... one problem...I have to go to my work over one hour:(... and tomorrow too.... but I had fun with making this page:):)

family fun! ???...... look at the faces of my mom and me:):) we didn't had fun at that moment, hahaha.........

A little update about my mom... last Saturday she came home from the hospital and she was very happy about that ofcourse... she feels much better, exept tuesday and wednesday she didn't feel good because of the chemo. Yesterday she got the second chemo and now she is having 2 weeks rest (no chemo)...I'm so happy that she feels better and that she's having the strength to go for another serie of chemotherapy!!!

scrapping the music...

Yessss, I have been scrapping again! The last day's I didn't had time for it, because of others things I had to do(also nice things)..... Saturday I have visit my friend Manon in Baarlo (in the south of the country)...3 hours by train!...but it was a super day! We have made some cards, went for a walk with the dogs (they're so cute) and babbled about everything...one day was to short.... Sunday it was my workingday and Monday I bought my 'Sinterklaas' present...a digital image scanner, so now I can make all the 'dia's' (slide or transparancy's???) digital. My parents have boxes full with 'dia's' from former day's, so I don't have to feel bored the next months;);) But ofcourse I have to wait till 5th December:)........ Yesterday evening my friend Anne-wil came over and I have helped her with a minibook for her parents...hahaha, I have infected her too with the scrapping virus!... and this morning I have made this page....

a stormy day......

Outside it's raining and stormy wether and I'm happy that I only had to leave the house this morning for some shopping and the rest of the day I stayed cosy inside the house. I did clean the house, some scrapping and I have called my mom.....she's still in the hospital , she feels much better and she don't have an infusion anymore. Tomorrow she will have a ct-scan and Friday they'll begin with the new chemo therapy. And when she still feels 'ok', then she can go home Saturday. I hope so!!!

Buiten is het stormachtig weer en ik ben blij dat ik alleen maar vanmorgen even uit huis moest voor een paar boodschappen. En de rest van de dag ben ik lekker binnen gebleven. Ik heb schoon gemaakt in huis (was wel nodig), vanmiddag zitten scrappen en ik heb mijn moeder gebeld..... ze ligt nog steeds in het ziekenhuis, maar voelt zich gelukkig al een heel stuk beter en ze heeft inmiddels ook geen infuus meer nodig. Morgen krijgt ze een ct-scan en vrijdag willen ze weer gaan beginnen met een nieuwe reeks van chemo's. En als ze zich daarna 'ok' voelt mag ze zaterdag naar huis. Ik hoop dat dat gaat lukken!!!

Last Sunday my friend Anne-wil came over and ofcourse we stayed in my scraproom:) We made a board for postcards or pictures or what you like.... we want to use it for the received x-mas cards....

Afgelopen zondag is Anne-wil bij ons en natuurlijk hebben we de tijd doorgebracht in mijn scrapkamer:) We hebben een memo/kaarten bord gemaakt..........

...we had a lot of fun and eaten some yummy chocolat -'pepernoten'..... Last Saturday "Sinterklaas"(almost the same as Santa with x-mas) arrived the country, so I couldn't resist it to buy 'pepernoten'!

...het was een super gezellig middag en we hebben heerlijke chocolade-pepernoten gegeten, daar is nu wel weer tijd voor!

.....And because I want to give my nieces and nephews something handmade for 'Sinterklaas' (5 dec).... I want to make also one for each of them:) I have finished already 3 and have to make another 3 (well it's not so funny anymore to make it;);)

.....En natuurlijk wil ik met Sinterklaas ook een zelfgemaakt kadootje geven aan mijn nichtjes en neefjes... dus wil ik voor hun ook een memobord gaan maken....ik heb er inmiddels al 3 af en moet er nu nog 3 maken (het leuke van het maken is er nu wel een beetje van af;);)

Home sweet home........... I made this card for the challenge of CPS card sketches... #141

Home sweet home... deze kaart heb ik gemaakt voor de challenge van CPS card sketches...

...and I have sent it to my sister, brother-in-law and children... because this weekend they will sleep the first night in their new home...and Monday my niece and nephew will go to the new school, so that will be very exciting for them!


...en ik heb de kaart al verstuurd naar mijn zus Esther, zwager Leo en de kinderen... omdat zij dit weekend voor het eerst in hun nieuwe huis blijven slapen... en maandag gaan Lotte en Jurre naar hun nieuwe school, dat zal wel een spannende dag voor hun worden!

Wednesday it was a FUN day!!! I went together with my friend Manon to the 'Kreadoe' in Utrecht (that's a big hobby-event). We had a super day and ofcourse I bought many scrap stuff!
I haven't seen my friend for a long time, because we don't live near eachother, but it was fun like old times!!!


Woensdag ben ik samen met mijn vriendin Manon naar de Kreadoe in Utrecht geweest. Het was een SUPER leuke dag en natuurlijk heb ik veel scrap spullen gekocht! Manon had ik al een tijdje niet meer gezien, we wonen nogal een eind bijelkaar vandaan, maar het was weer als van ouds gezellig samen! Manon bedankt voor de leuke dag en de afleiding!!!

...and here my new yummy,yummy scrap stuff, can't wait to play with it....


And now some not so good news........Since last Tuesday my mom is at the hospital.....after a week of throw-up, she has lost many weight and she is dehydrated (is this the right word for it?)
My mom has cancer (you can read here the blogpost about it) and soon she must begin with a new chemotherapy, but now she's to weak. So she's at the hospital now to recover. And since yesterday she didn't throw-up anymore and she looks so much better! I hope she can come home soon!!!


En nu wat minder goed nieuws.... Sinds dinsdag ligt mijn moeder in het ziekenhuis... na een week van overgeven heeft ze veel gewicht verloren en al aardig uitgedroogd. Mijn moeder heeft kanker (hier kan je mijn post erover lezen) en binnenkort moet zij weer met een nieuwe chemo kuur beginnen, maar daar is zij nu veel te zwak voor. Ze is nu opgenomen om weer wat aan te sterken en sinds gisteren heeft ze gelukkig niet meer overgegeven. En ze zag er gelukkig al weer een heel stuk beter uit! Ik hoop dat ze snel weer naar huis mag!!!

fave vacation....

The new challenge at 'These are a few of my favorite things' is...scrap about your fave vacation...
...our favorite vacation is going by camper to Norway...it's such a beautiful country..... next summer we want to go there again for some weeks.

Hij was mijn eerste eigen kat...en vorigjaar augustus heb ik hem in moeten laten slapen, omdat hij een grote tumor had waar niks meer aan gedaan kon worden......

"Have I told you lately".....I have made this romantic card for the challenge of Get Sketchy and it's the first time I play along....actually it's the first time I play with a card challenge....

"Have I told you lately"....Deze romantische kaart heb ik gemaakt voor de Get Sketchy challenge en het is de eerste keer dat ik mee doe...eigenlijk is het ook de eerste keer dat ik mee doe met een card challenge.......

I have paint a heart with ink, handstitched the blue heart and used some Glimmer Mist...

Ik heb het roze hart erop geschilderd met ecoline, het blauwe hart geborduurd en ik heb Glimmer Mist gebruikt...

Inside the card I have wrote the lyrics of the song "have I told you lately" of Van Morrison (one of my fave songs), a little heart made of felt and the big heart I have handstitched ...

Binnen in de kaart heb ik de tekst van het nummer "have I told you lately" van Van Morrison geschereven, het kleine hartje heb ik uit vilt geknipt en het grote hart geborduurd...

Today I also have made another mini book....

and this morning the book was an old children book.....

Vandaag heb ik weer een mini boekje gemaakt...

en vanmorgen was het nog een oud kinderboekje...

It's a mini book about my cat Quibus(died last year summer)....he always loved to be in the garden...

I think it's a nice and simple book, even I haven't used embellishments ( because then you can't close the book anymore)

...en nu ziet het er zo uit..........

Het is een mini boekje over mijn kat Quibus (vorigjaar zomer overleden)....hij vond het altijd heerlijk om buiten in de tuin rond te struinen en lekker in het zonnetje liggen op het gras....

Ik vind het een leuk en simpel boekje geworden, ookal heb ik geen embellishments gebruikt (anders zou het boekje niet meer dicht kunnen)

This was my second "home alone" day... I think it's a little to quiet in the house, now Richard is in Austria...and I'm happy when he comes home again, but for now I still love my time alone:)

Dit was mijn tweede "home alone" dag... ik vind het toch wel erg stil in huis nu Richard in Oostenrijk is...en ik ben ook blij als hij weer thuis komt, maar voor nu geniet ik nog even van het huis voor mij alleen hebben:)

This morning Richard leave us (me and my cats) for a week...he's to Austria (again?yes again)for a wild water kayak week with the kayak club "de Dolfijnen"(the dolphins)....so I'm home alone and when I'm honest, I love to have some day's for myself:):) So I planned to scrap, scrap and scrap these day's...and here is my first of today...........I made it for the challenge of Scrapping out Loud! This time you have to use naked chipboard.....

Vanmorgen heeft Richard ons (ik en de katten) verlaten voor een week...hij is naar Oostenrijk (alweer? ja, alweer) voor een week wild water varen met de kanovereniging "de Dolfijnen" ... dus ik ben "home alone" en als ik eerlijk ben vind ik het heerlijk een paar dagen voor mijzelf:):) Ik ben dan ook van plan om veel te gaan scrappen de komende dagen...en dit is mijn eerste lo van vandaag...Ik heb deze lo voor Scrapping out Loud! gemaakt, deze keer moest je kaal chipboard gebruiken

Some minutes ago Richard called me that they arrived in Imst in Austria...they had alot of rain on their way and in Imst it was beginning to snow...so they will have a cold kayak week,brrrr!!! I'm happy they arrived save and I hope they will have a fantastic time!!! And I'll have some fantastic day's here in my scraproom with my furryfriends:)

Richard heeft net gebeld dat ze in Imst aangekomen zijn...ze hebben veel regen onderweg gehad en in Imst was het gaan sneeuwen...dus ze zullen een koude kano week hebben, brrrr!!! Ik ben blij dat ze goed aangekomen zijn en ik hoop dat ze een fantastische week zullen hebben!!! En ik een paar fantastische dagen hier in mijn scrapkamer met mijn kattenbeesten:)

Gisteren was ik lekker een dagje vrij....even de stad in geweest, geluncht bij een vriendin en daarna met een pot thee naar zolder gegaan...... en eindelijk het mini-boekje over Mees afgemaakt....ik was er in september mee begonnen, maar toen is het blijven liggen en het kwam er maar niet van om het af te maken........


Yesterday I had a day for myself....I did some shopping and a lunch at a friend of mine en after that I went with a teapot upstairs to my scraproom.....and I have finished my mini-book about my furry friend Mees....








En ik was gisteren weer helemaal in mijn scrap-mood, dus heb ik ook nog twee lo's met foto's van Guusje gemaakt. De foto's heb ik al vaker gebruikt, maar ik vind het leuk om ze steeds weer te gebruiken......omdat ze zo schattig zijn!!!

And I was in a scrap-mood yesterday, so I made also these two lo's with pictures of Guusje. I have used the pictures before, but I love to use them again and again...because they are so cute!!!
