get sketchy #10... and another minibook...

"Have I told you lately".....I have made this romantic card for the challenge of Get Sketchy and it's the first time I play along....actually it's the first time I play with a card challenge....

"Have I told you lately"....Deze romantische kaart heb ik gemaakt voor de Get Sketchy challenge en het is de eerste keer dat ik mee doe...eigenlijk is het ook de eerste keer dat ik mee doe met een card challenge.......

I have paint a heart with ink, handstitched the blue heart and used some Glimmer Mist...

Ik heb het roze hart erop geschilderd met ecoline, het blauwe hart geborduurd en ik heb Glimmer Mist gebruikt...

Inside the card I have wrote the lyrics of the song "have I told you lately" of Van Morrison (one of my fave songs), a little heart made of felt and the big heart I have handstitched ...

Binnen in de kaart heb ik de tekst van het nummer "have I told you lately" van Van Morrison geschereven, het kleine hartje heb ik uit vilt geknipt en het grote hart geborduurd...

Today I also have made another mini book....

and this morning the book was an old children book.....

Vandaag heb ik weer een mini boekje gemaakt...

en vanmorgen was het nog een oud kinderboekje...

It's a mini book about my cat Quibus(died last year summer)....he always loved to be in the garden...

I think it's a nice and simple book, even I haven't used embellishments ( because then you can't close the book anymore)

...en nu ziet het er zo uit..........

Het is een mini boekje over mijn kat Quibus (vorigjaar zomer overleden)....hij vond het altijd heerlijk om buiten in de tuin rond te struinen en lekker in het zonnetje liggen op het gras....

Ik vind het een leuk en simpel boekje geworden, ookal heb ik geen embellishments gebruikt (anders zou het boekje niet meer dicht kunnen)

This was my second "home alone" day... I think it's a little to quiet in the house, now Richard is in Austria...and I'm happy when he comes home again, but for now I still love my time alone:)

Dit was mijn tweede "home alone" dag... ik vind het toch wel erg stil in huis nu Richard in Oostenrijk is...en ik ben ook blij als hij weer thuis komt, maar voor nu geniet ik nog even van het huis voor mij alleen hebben:)

This morning Richard leave us (me and my cats) for a week...he's to Austria (again?yes again)for a wild water kayak week with the kayak club "de Dolfijnen"(the dolphins)....so I'm home alone and when I'm honest, I love to have some day's for myself:):) So I planned to scrap, scrap and scrap these day's...and here is my first of today...........I made it for the challenge of Scrapping out Loud! This time you have to use naked chipboard.....

Vanmorgen heeft Richard ons (ik en de katten) verlaten voor een week...hij is naar Oostenrijk (alweer? ja, alweer) voor een week wild water varen met de kanovereniging "de Dolfijnen" ... dus ik ben "home alone" en als ik eerlijk ben vind ik het heerlijk een paar dagen voor mijzelf:):) Ik ben dan ook van plan om veel te gaan scrappen de komende dagen...en dit is mijn eerste lo van vandaag...Ik heb deze lo voor Scrapping out Loud! gemaakt, deze keer moest je kaal chipboard gebruiken

Some minutes ago Richard called me that they arrived in Imst in Austria...they had alot of rain on their way and in Imst it was beginning to snow...so they will have a cold kayak week,brrrr!!! I'm happy they arrived save and I hope they will have a fantastic time!!! And I'll have some fantastic day's here in my scraproom with my furryfriends:)

Richard heeft net gebeld dat ze in Imst aangekomen zijn...ze hebben veel regen onderweg gehad en in Imst was het gaan sneeuwen...dus ze zullen een koude kano week hebben, brrrr!!! Ik ben blij dat ze goed aangekomen zijn en ik hoop dat ze een fantastische week zullen hebben!!! En ik een paar fantastische dagen hier in mijn scrapkamer met mijn kattenbeesten:)

Beetje een late post van mij, maar maandag is de nieuwe ad bij AdThis weer online gegaan en daar is mijn gast ontwerp layout te zien....en natuurlijk ook de prachtige lo's van het design team!!!!

En dit is wat ik er van gemaakt heb....

Gisteren was ik lekker een dagje vrij....even de stad in geweest, geluncht bij een vriendin en daarna met een pot thee naar zolder gegaan...... en eindelijk het mini-boekje over Mees afgemaakt....ik was er in september mee begonnen, maar toen is het blijven liggen en het kwam er maar niet van om het af te maken........


Yesterday I had a day for myself....I did some shopping and a lunch at a friend of mine en after that I went with a teapot upstairs to my scraproom.....and I have finished my mini-book about my furry friend Mees....








En ik was gisteren weer helemaal in mijn scrap-mood, dus heb ik ook nog twee lo's met foto's van Guusje gemaakt. De foto's heb ik al vaker gebruikt, maar ik vind het leuk om ze steeds weer te gebruiken......omdat ze zo schattig zijn!!!

And I was in a scrap-mood yesterday, so I made also these two lo's with pictures of Guusje. I have used the pictures before, but I love to use them again and again...because they are so cute!!!

funny mees...

Outside it's raining and inside the heater is warmly.....and Mees loves it too...the cat basket stands near the heater in my scraproom.....aren't these funny and relaxing pics of him:):)

Buiten regent het en binnen staat de verwarming weer aan...en Mees vindt het heerlijk..de kattenmand staat tegen de verwarming in mijn scrapkamer, lekker warm....zijn dit geen grappige en relaxte foto's van hem:):)


The cats are most of the time with me when I'm in my scraproom. Very cosy, but not always....because they love my scrapstuf too....and want to play with it...but when they are sleeping they are little angels:):)

De katten vertoeven meestal samen met mij in de scrap kamer. Erg gezellig, maar niet altijd...omdat ze ook gek zijn van mijn scrap spulletjes...en er natuurlijk mee willen spelen...maar als ze slapen zijn het kleine engeltjes:):)

Oh and I have some very nice news (for me it is:):).....I'm a guest designer again!!!! I won the last 'ad' at Adthis..... and I'm so happy, happy with it!!!

En ik heb nog een leuk nieuwtje :):)....Ik mag weer gast ontwerper zijn!!!! Ik heb de laatste 'ad' van Adthis gewonnen en ik ben er happy, happy mee!!!

free entertainment....

When you have cats and they are playing (together).... you don't need a television for entertaining. I always love to see my cats playing together, run after eachother, playing with a mouse (not a real one ofcourse) or with a straw,..... and boxes are their fave!

Als je spelende katten hebt....dan heb je geen tv nodig voor vermaak. Ik vind het altijd prachtig om mijn katten samen te zien spelen, achter elkaar aan rennen, spelen met muizen (geen echte natuurlijk) of met rietjes, propjes papier,.......en spelen in dozen is toch wel hun favoriet!

The cats on the little pictures where my first own cats...Quibus & Boef....unfortunately they don't live anymore. But I had some great years with them and alot of entertainment!

De katten op de kleine foto's zijn mijn eerste eigen katten...Quibus & Boef... jammer genoeg leven ze allebei niet meer. Maar de jaren die ik samen met hun had waren geweldig en natuurlijk met veel vermaak!

This morning my parents went to the oncologist. Unfortunately the tumor is growing again, but for the next 3 months my mom don't have to begin with a new chemotherapy. In December she must come back and than maybe the c.t. will start in January. It feels a little bit as positive news, because now she will have some months of rest and she can feel good and maybe she will get some more energie. Than she will be strong enough for the time the c.t. starts again.

Vanmorgen zijn mijn ouders weer naar de oncoloog geweest. Jammer genoeg is de tumor weer gaan groeien (we hadden zo anders gehoopt), maar de komende 3 maanden hoeft mijn moeder niet aan een nieuwe reeks van chemokuren te beginnen. In december moeten ze weer terug komen en dan krijgen ze te horen of er in januari wel weer met een chemo gestart gaat worden. Dat ze weer 'moet' gaan kuren is in ieder geval zeker, maar dat wisten we al. Toch voelt het een beetje als positief nieuws, omdat mijn moeder nu wel een paar maanden rust heeft, zich goed kan voelen en misschien wel weer meer energie krijgt. Zodat ze weer sterk genoeg is om de volgende chemo's aan te kunnen.

Well for me the cutest is my little furry friend...Guusje...
and it's her 1st birthday today:):):)hip hip hooray!!!

Wie is de schattigste? Voor mij is dat natuurlijk mijn kleine zachte vriendinnetje...Guusje..
en het is vandaag haar eerste verjaardag:):):)hiep, hiep, hoera!!!

It's also my parents weddingday....they are 39 years married! So for them also a...

I can't visit them now.....so I have sent this card, hope they will receive it today...

En er is nog een reden om taart te eten vandaag....
Het is vandaag de trouwdag van mijn ouders....ze zijn 39 jaar getrouwd! Dus ook voor hun...
hiep, hiep, hoeraaaaa!!!!
Ik kan vandaag niet bij hun langs om ze te feliciteren....dus heb ik een kaart gestuurd...

super weekend!

We (my mom, sister and me) had a super,super weekend.....we went to the Dutch 'Wadden'island Terschelling........

Friday we arrived and yesterday we left the beautiful island. We wished that we could stay some more day's...........

....The weather was more than good, we had a nice family-room at Westcord Hotel Schylge , we had alot of laughter, we read alot and we enjoyed the sun and the beach!!!

And now back to normal life again...no holiday's for me anymore the next months:(:(

Wij ( mijn moeder, zus en ik) hebben een super,super weekend gehad...we zijn naar Terschelling geweest...Op vrijdag zijn we vertrokken en gisteren hebben we het mooie eiland weer moeten verlaten. We hadden er graag nog wat dagen langer willen blijven....

....Het weer was prachtig, we hadden een grote familie kamer in het Westcord Hotel Schylge, we hebben veel gelachen, veel gelezen en genoten van de zon en het strand!!!

En weer terug naar het gewone leven...de komende maanden jammer genoeg geen vakanties meer voor mij:(:(

And these cards I made when we were on holiday to Austria some weeks ago....ofcourse I can't without my scrap-papers when I'm on holiday...so I took some with me:)

home again & butterfly crafts....

We are home again(Sunday).......We had a great time in Austria....good weather, beautiful nature, delicious cakes and nice people.....one week was really to short!!!!

We stayed the whole week on camping Grubhof, together with my parents, in St. martin bei Lofer.

I couldn't make alot pictures, because my camera-lens doesn't work anymore (error 99, has anybody had that too with his Canon camera?)....ofcourse I wasn't happy about it, but I was glad that my parents had a compact-camera with them. I haven't see the pictures yet, but I hope there are some nice pics.

We zijn weer thuis....het was een geweldige week in Oostenrijk...goed weer, prachtige natuur, heerlijke taarten en aardige mensen.....1 week was echt te kort!!!
De hele week hebben we op camping Grubhof gestaan, samen met mijn ouders, in St.Martin bei Lofer.
Jammer genoeg heb ik maar een paar foto's kunnen maken, omdat de camera lens het niet meer doet. Error 99, is er iemand die dit ook al eens met een Canon camera heeft gehad?Volgens de fotozaak kan ik beter een nieuwe lens kopen, omdat dit voordeliger is dan het te laten maken. Voorlopig gebruik ik maar de lens van mijn analoge camera.
Gelukkig hadden mijn ouders een compact camera mee, dus hebben we toch nog nog wat foto's van de vakantie. Ik heb ze nog niet gezien, ben benieuwd of het mooie foto's zijn geworden!

En dan nu.....mijn layout voor ButterflyCrafts......het is de eerste keer dat ik gastontwerper ben (en hopelijk niet de laatste keer:):):) ik vind het helemaal geweldig en super leuk om mijn layout op hun blog te zien staan!!! .....Summer birthday......

And this is the challenge of ButterflyCrafts this week:.......'For the next challenge we'd like you to do a layout about a summer family tradition. Could be something you do every year, something you just started this year or something you did when you were a kid and miss'.

...We don't have real summer family traditions.......But we always (especialy when I was a child)celebrate my summer birthday. And many times we were on our holiday address.....also on this picture of 31th July 1979, my 4th birthday...we celebrate it on the campingplace of my grandparents. I have so many good memories of those birthdays.....beautiful weather (most of the years), icecakes, always free from school...and when we where on holiday in a foreign country I got garlands of toiletpaper :):) and when my parents forgotten to take my gifts with them from Holland I also got gifts from that country:):)

On this layout I have used papers of Sassafras, Hambly sheets, AmericanCrafts thickers, MLShoebox letter stickers, orange felt birds/leafs, handmade Fimo fruits and ofcourse some (hand)stitching.

Yeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhh....... I have won the the August challenge of ButterflyCrafts.... and I'm their guest designer for the challenge of 14th September! I never been a guest designer before, so I'm so excited about it!!!!!!!!!!!:):)

The challenge of SOL this week: "We all buy products for those certain time of year, Christmas, Halloween, Fourth of July, Valentine's Day..etc. So why not experiment and use seasonal products unconventionally? For example..snowflakes could be spring flower centers, halloween spiders on a summer page...Those products will never get used up otherwise! Think outside of the seasonal box!"

I have used Valentine papers and felt snowflakes. This week I also have used the sketch of the week and the word of the week "sweet"......
